what do you think about Prom, if you went, did ya have fun? how was it? did ya have a date?

I'm a seneor and my prom's comming up in June. There's a group of about twenty of us going in one limo, and most of us have dates or at least someone to split the prom bid with since they're pretty expensive. I have my dress ready, and after prom we're going bowling ... in our gowns of course. I'll tell you all about it afterwords.

Hey, I haven't been to prom yet, seeing as how I'm a little young, but my brother has and he loved it! If you're wondering whether or not you should, I think it's a good idea to get the experience if you ask me.

I didn't go. I' not into formal stuff, I didn't have a date anyway. I've gone to other dances and had fun though but I hate dressing up. Also, no one asked me to go with them specifically, so I wasn't really motivated.

If upi don't mind me saying so, I've been to two proms all ready and ther were the bomb diggity. I didn't take any one either; I just hung out with a bunch of people and enjoyed my self. That's what it's all about. It shouldn't matter if you have a date or not, all though most people think it does. That's just my opinion.

Post 8 by BeautyQueen (Veteran Zoner) on Monday, 21-Nov-2005 21:52:31

I will say this again since I misspelled some words by accident. I been to my school prom two years in a row. I had a whole bunch of fun even though I didn't have a date. Well... I almost had a date for the second prom I attended, but something happened. No he didn't reject me for another girl. If you wanna take a date to the prom that's fine. But I think you would have more fun if you went by yourself because you won't have toworry about how nervous are or how bad your breath smells. Of course... you would probably have more fun being nervous because your date would be just as nervous as you are. I guess I'll shut up now; I've said enough already.

I went to my prom with 2 of my friends; it was pretty cool and even though it wasn't as grate as I would have liked, I'm really glad I went[even if the food sucked ass]

I think prom is one of those things that is all part of the high school experience. Definitely go. I agree that it is more fun with a bunch of female friends than a date unless of course you are already really serious with your bf.

Post 11 by OrangeDolphinSpirit (Despite the cost of living, have you noticed how popular it remains?) on Wednesday, 30-Nov-2005 21:36:02

I went to prom with my bf and ... man, I loved my dress! It was black and slinky and ... form fitting and long! It was awesome. The music sucked, though. I think next year, for the next batch of seniors, they should have more variety ...

save me yall, by prom time, I'll have been dating my BF for 10 months. I want to go with him as he's already asked me and I said yes, but, I don't know how to act, or what to talk about, and I don't think his friends are comfortable with my being blind. I don't wanna go, but I feel I have to, and I want to go for my BF

Post 13 by dissonance (Help me, I'm stuck to my chair!) on Sunday, 19-Feb-2006 19:11:37

cala I think you should go, i mean not worry about the blind thing as much, his friends will get used to it...I totally want to go to prom, who knows if I'll have a date or not, but it sounds like it would be so much fun...unfone of my best friends isn't allowed to go to dances which will take away from it, but it's still exciting.

I went to my senior prom, and man was that a memorable night. I was the one who approached my BF about going. At that time, we weren't actually seeing each other, but after that night, we started dating. I even got my first kiss at prom.

I might go to my prom I doubt it though.

I am planning on going with my BF. we decided we'd go like 2 months befor we started dating while on the phone with another friend of ours. I mentioned how she was going to go to prom with a senior (she was a junior) and how I didn't think I'd find a date. she didn't either but she got 1. just jokin arouned she suggested a friend that we both know neither of us would go with unless there was absolutely no other choice and even then...

Well my now BF mentioned that he should go to our prom with me. (he goes to a different school in a different district). I thought he was joking until he brought it up later on that day and a few days later again. I hope its a lot of fun.

jennaok I'm done rambling lol

I've been to one prom, with my current boyfriend. I honestly never thought I would go to another person's prom, much less my own. My boyfriend and I went with two of his friends and their dates. I felt like an outsider for the first part of the night because I was the only person in our group who wasn't a senior, and because I didn't go to their school. But I had nothing to worry about because all of them made me feel welcome. I'll never forget that night, it was the first school dance I'd ever been to, and with a date. My BF and I are now planning for my prom next year. Hopefully that goes just as well.

Hi everyone. I went to my first ever prom last year and it was really fun! I went with one of my friends, who invited me, who was a senior. I really want to go this year, but no one has yet asked me. So I asked one of my best friends who is in college if he wants to go with me, just as friends. One of the barriers, however, is that he goes to college and lives in Toleedo, and I go to school in Columbus. And then, if we take a friend or anyone, our principal has to approve it. How stupid! And plus, our principal will not let us leave early to get our hair done! He wants us to leave right at 3:15, which is when everyone gets out of school. I told one of my house parents, and she said that that is stupid and that it takes at least an hour or more to get your hair done, and it took two hours to get her hair done for her wedding. Any advice on what I should do about the Toleedo and the hair situations?
Thanks a lot,
Macy

Hmm, I was going to go to my friends senior prom with her this year, for at the time she asked me she had no boyfriend, and she still wanted to get the experience. Lots of girls go together as friends so it would have been no big deal, but her parents thought it would be weird and people would think we were gay so they said we couldn't. I was looking forward to it, to.
I'm only in tenth grade, but I most likely will end up going to my junior and senior proms for the experience of it. When I was a bit younger I swore I'd never wanna go but, what the hell, your only in highschool once right?

can't wait till prom next year. and who cares if you gotta date or not. if i don't have one i'll just go with a group of my girls

Post 22 by Damia (I'm oppinionated deal with it.) on Tuesday, 25-Mar-2008 23:10:48

Better off going with the girls only. I went with my x at the time, and our friend that I felt bad because she had nobody to go with, and she threw me at a table and chaced him the whole night, and then we went back to my place and she kept hitting on him and it was awquard, and during my scenior year I was in an ldr with someone who didn't like the idea of me going very much and the one friend I asked... Well You'd have to know brendon to explain what a disaster that turned in to. Everyone in our school loved him, but I'm pretty sure he came out of the clozzet after highschool, and he's one of these submissive people who will go along with it if it's done for him, and another girl was desperate to get the limmo and what not and I only asked him, and he said maybe if he didn't find an actual date in the mean time. Quite special I know.

OMG! I don't want to go to the prom by myself. It isn't fun to go by yourself - it's better to go with someone.

Post 24 by Morgan_Lynn (Account disabled) on Monday, 14-Apr-2008 2:04:59

the last prom I went to was in May of 2006 with my ex-bf Scott. We went with our friends Ari, rusty, and Sarah. it was okay I guess. Scott and I just stayed by our selvs most of the night. I dont no if i will go with anyone this year. I havent been to a dance yet this year.
the last dance they had my ex-bf Faraaz wanted me to go, but i was against it, since it was a LDR. but Yeah. so I am not sure if i will go to prom this year. If i cant find a date, I'll probably just go with my BFF Andrea and her bF Tyler. .Morgan

hmm, my last prom was.. last year and i am definitely going this year. I had gotten a chance from a friend to ride his limo for free and just paid the prom ticket. i danced like crazy that night and then a group of friends went to the beach with us. What was funnier though, was how we had gone into the applebees restauratnt about two hours before the prom started and since we all said they were all separate orders i kept the check and never gave it out and the lady said that she had all the money... lol! i kept it as a souvenir for that night. It was really fun. I eventually got tiredof so much dancing. It has been a certainly memorable one. I am looking forward for this prom.. and hey, I ahve a friend that's willing to go (local) and i am betting that it'd be a blast, and tickets are on sale this week! I'll post about it once its done.

oh, by the way I have atended last years and the prom that was done two years ago--I had a friend who was a senior and invited me. The first prom was interesting, and well there was some fun, although I was mostly by myself back then, but then people would still acompany me. However, last years is so far the best. So there we go. Sorry for the extra post guys.

That's ok. Oh, I did go to prom this year. I went with one of my friends who goes to school with me. So yeah, it was fun!
